In February 2010, Opera Noir will be presenting, “Soul Sistahs”; a sassy, soulful stage show featuring J. Rosalynn Smith-Clark, that celebrates the accomplishments of African American Female Performers from the 1920's Jazz Era to Hip Hop and Neo Soul artists of today.

The Company
Opera Noir is a 501(c)(3) non-profit arts organization with a mission to promote cultural diversity in the classical arts. The company is committed to preserving and performing the works of African American composers and artists in addition to performing traditional European Classical Music.
The shared goal of the Board of Directors and the Founder, J. Rosalynn Smith-Clark is to establish Opera Noir as a world-class professional performing company that provides educational outreach to school aged children, and performance development opportunities for emerging artists.

To provide educational and performance opportunities for emerging artists to develop into the stars of tomorrow.
To develop and present educational outreach programs to school aged children with an emphasis on reaching children in underserved low-to-moderate income communities.
